Oakland: 322 40th - New Mixed User Planned in Temescal

A pre-application for a mixed-use building on the edge of Oakland's Temescal neighborhood has been filed with the city.

Currently a surface parking lot near the corner of Broadway and 40th, plans for the building call for 24 new residential units as well as ground floor commercial space. Though it's not clear how tall the building will be, it'll likely be in the 3-5 story range based on the unit count and neighboring buildings.

Few details are known about this project at the moment. An architect with the Lafayette-based firm Ward Young is listed on the application though no renderings for the proposed building are currently available on the architect's website.

Located just off Broadway, this project is on the same block as a similar proposal on the corner of 41st and Broadway.
