Oakland: 612 18th - Construction Work Continues on Downtown Oakland Mixed-User

Construction workers have been busy over the last 2 months, as the Jefferson mixed-use building in Downtown Oakland is moving right along. Some interior walls on the first floor have already been erected with perimeter columns not far behind. The project is taking up an entire (irregularly shaped) city block on the corner of 18th and Jefferson. It will eventually be 6 stories tall with 80 new dwelling units as well as a ground floor retail space. The project is designed by Kahn Design Associates and developed by Bay West Development.

Despite all the exciting development news coming out of downtown Oakland, this project remains one of very few market-rate housing development currently under construction in the area.
