Oakland: 4435 Piedmont - Another Mixed-User Coming to Piedmont

Image: Google Maps
As I mentioned in my post on Tuesday, 4425 Piedmont is not the only development that is bringing changes to the top of Piedmont Avenue. The other development is at 4435 Piedmont Avenue where a proposed mixed-use building will bring an additional 25 units to the area. Developed by Anchor Development Company and designed by Jones Haydu Architects, the proposed 3-story building will also a include ground floor commercial space. Initially approved for 18 units, the city is currently in the process of reviewing an application to change the total number of units to 25. The overall size of the development will not change, however, which suggests smaller units and more efficient use of space. At this time, no renderings for the project are available.
