Berkeley: 2201 Dwight/Garden Village - Construction Appears to Be Back on Track

When I last checked in with Berkeley's Garden Village development, I was a little worried because it looked like the construction site had seen little movement in a while. Thankfully, it was likely just a delay and construction seems to be back on track. Lots of equipment is currently on site and foundation work appears to be progressing nicely. Unlike most projects going up in the East Bay at the moment, this is a purely residential building and will include 77 apartments, 22 of which will be reserved for households with very low incomes. The project will also include rooftop gardens that should yield 16 tons of produce a year. Check out the project's website at discovergardenvillage.com for more information. Glad to see this project is back on track!
