Berkeley: Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive Construction Update

In what turned out to be excellent timing, ArchDaily.com posted some renderings and an opening date for the new location of the BAM/PFA just as I was about to post my construction update. It looks like the museum, designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, will be having it's first exhibit in early 2016. The structure will include two theaters and significantly more gallery space. Construction looks to be on track with the large roof mostly completed and the first parts of the facade already going up. It'll be exciting to have this museum near a BART station in Downtown Berkeley making it much more easily accessible to people from around the Bay Area. Check out more renderings and info in this ArchDaily post or on the official BAM/PFA website.
