Rendering of New Mixed Use Building Coming to 1935 Addison Street (Between Milvia St & MLK Blvd)

I'm a big fan of mixed-used buildings especially when they are well-designed and built in lovely, walkable, bikeable, and transit-friendly areas such as Downtown Berkeley. If they happen to replace a surface parking lot, even better. Here's a look at 1935 Addison St which is a planned 6-story mixed user that recently went through design review. Here's a rendering:

Looks like a nice infill project for Berkeley! I'm always amazed at how huge a 6-story building can look like next to the mostly low-rise single story commercial shacks throughout the East Bay. Let's hope they'll start work on this sooner rather than later.
