First Renderings of New Jack London Square Buildings

Jack London Square has always been one of my favorite areas of Oakland, so I'm always surprised that the area isn't overrun with new residential development given the current state of the real estate market. There are multiple projects in the works, however, and this one would certainly fill in some major gaps in the neighborhood.
The two buildings, part of the larger Jack London Square Development master plan, would rise on the corner of Broadway and the Embarcadero (Site D) and the other would be at Embarcadero & Alice (Site F2). Both sites are currently surface parking lots.
Though exact plans have not been finalized yet, Alameda architecture firm MBH has created some preliminary renderings of what the projects might look like. Take a look:

Site F2
Site F2 would also include an extension of the pedestrian promenade

Site D - Various height options are being proposed. The tallest one would be 17 stories.

Keep in mind that these are very preliminary. The project currently needs approvals from the city of Oakland and so there's bound to be some changes.
